WhoAreYou Brings Visual Caller ID to Android [Android Downloads]

WhoAreYou Brings Visual Caller ID to AndroidAndroid: WhoAreYou is a free app designed to bring true caller ID (caller ID without needing the contact in your phone book) to your mobile phone. It visually displays who's calling, so you can decide to answer, send to voicemail, or "ditch" the caller.

Some mobile users already have caller ID service, depending on their provider or phone, but not all do. Like similar, previously mentioned PhoneTell, WhoAreYou draws upon a database of over 200 million US phone numbers to try to ID the caller.

WhoAreYou uniquely adds visual identification where possible. Developed by the makers of voicemail visualization app YouMail, WhoAreYou adds a business logo or Facebook photo as well as name and city/state info.

You can also do a couple of useful things with WhoAreYou: Reverse number lookup and "ditch" callers. The "ditch" feature, once clicked, will automatically send a caller to voicemail in the future. If you use YouMail's visual voicemail plus app, you can also play "This number is out of service" to all ditched callers. Useful, obviously, for deftly handling those really annoying calls.
