Interested in opening a business in York? Applications are still being accepted for the York Business Academy.
The program, offered by the City of York, York College and members of the York College Students in Free Enterprise organization, provides advice for new and existing small business owners. The class will be offered on six Saturday mornings between Oct. 1 and Nov. 5 at the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship, 410 King?s Mill Road.
A $35 fee will be required. Participants who complete the majority of the course will receive a diploma and a full refund.
Discussion topics will include:
? Managing your business/strategic planning
? Business and professional writing skills
? Personal readiness and financial assessment
? Marketing research and promotional strategy
? Developing your business plan
? Legal issues
